School Tours

Thursday, October 9 & Friday, October 10
We invite schools to schedule guided tours tailored for 3rd through 12th grade students. Educational tours are thoughtfully packaged by age group and include:

• Understanding the Wall – Explore the meaning behind the Wall’s design, the artist's intent, and the significance of the layout and names.

• Legacy and Remembrance – Learn how this memorial inspired a national dialogue and the creation of subsequent memorials across the country.

• Mobile Education Center – Engage with:

  • Artifacts left at the Wall in Washington, D.C.

  • The Hometown Heroes and In Memory Honor Roll honoring local service members.

  • Multimedia exhibits detailing the Vietnam War, the history of the memorial, and the stories of those who served.

  • An interactive Vietnam Era Timeline offering historical context.
